Sheila Raheja Institute of Hotel Management Affiliated with University of Mumbai Life at SRIHM Chef Vikas Khanna Book launch – Barefoot Empress 2nd December, 2022 On 2nd December 2022, Michelin star celebrity Chef Vikas Khanna launches @vikaskhannagroup his new book “BAREFOOT EMPRESS”. The book which is inspired by Karthyayani Amma, who first went to school in her 90s, Chef Vikas Khanna created a documentary and then wrote Barefoot Empress, to demonstrate the power of gratitude. The chef, who was inspired to cook by his grandmother, was struck by how familiar Karthyayani Amma appeared to him. “She reminds me of my grandmother. Of all our grandmothers.” They were the most intelligent even if they were illiterate. They were skilled at keeping their families together.”

शिव स्वराज्य दिन 06th June, 2022 ६ जून १६७४ रोजी अखंड महाराष्ट्राचे आराध्य दैवत व हिंदवी स्वराज्याचे संस्थापक श्री. छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज यांचा राज्यभिषेक सोहळा पार पडला होता. पुढील पिढी समोर एक आदर्श उभे राहावे व शिवरायांच्या इतिहासाचे स्मरण व्हावे या हेतूने हा दिवस शिव स्वराज्य दिन म्हणून संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रात उत्साहाने साजरा केला जातो. शीला रहेजा इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ हॉटेल मॅनेजमेंट महाविद्यालयात हि आजचा हा दिवस DLLE युनिट व प्रथम वर्षाच्या विद्यार्थांनी मोठ्या उत्साहाने साजरा केला. विदयार्थ्यांनी ढोल ताशांच्या गजरात महाराजांच्या मूर्तीची मिरवणूक काढून विविध स्पर्धाचे आयोजन केले होते यात प्रामुख्याने महाराजांच्या गड किल्लांविषयी भित्ती पत्रके (पोस्टर मेकिंग) समावेश होतो. पाचव्या मजल्यावर प्रतिक्षालय (Lobby) मध्ये महाराजांच्या मूर्तीचे पूजन करण्यासाठी सर्वजण एकत्रित आले. सदर कार्यक्रमाकरिता बॉम्बे सब-अर्बन आर्ट अँड क्राफ्ट एजुकेशन सोसायटीचे जनरल सेक्रेटरी श्री. अरविंद तिवारी हे प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून उपस्थित होते. कार्यक्रमाचे प्रमुख पाहुणे, प्राचार्य आणि विभाग प्रमुखांच्या हस्ते महाराजांच्या मूर्तीची पुष्प पूजा करून, दीप व धूप प्रजवलन केले. यावेळी प्रथम वर्षाच्या मिताली पिलंकर या विद्यार्थिनीने सुंदर नृत्य सादर करून महाराजांना मुजरा केला. त्यानंतर पुढे प्राचार्यानी आपले मनोगत व्यक्त करून सर्वांचे आभार मानले. या कार्यक्रमाकरिता विद्यार्थ्यां सोबतच प्राध्यापक वर्ग व इतर स्टाफ ने सहभाग घेऊन कार्यक्रमाची शोभा वाढवली.
Global Odyssey 20th March, 2022 Global Odyssey – A Street Food Rendezvous was an event hosted by the students of TYBSc HS Year 2022. It consisted of various stalls displaying international street food from around the world. This event turned out to be an absolute treat to the taste buds. Guests were in for a foodie experience with everything from authentic munchies to “food for the gram”.
DLLE Career Fair 29th March, 2022 The department of Lifelong learning and extension unit of SRIHM hosted a career fair for the students of Purushottam High School, Bandra East. The students displayed and explained various careers that the students could take up for their future after their highschool completion.
