He is a graduate in Hotel Management and Catering Technology with over 16 years of experience in Kitchen operations and management in India and overseas.

He started his career with The Oberoi Hotels Mumbai, and later worked on board Queen Elizabeth II -a legendary and prestigious cruise liner. As a Chef-de-Cuisine with J.W.Marriott – Juhu, Mumbai, he has acquired extensive experience in setting up hot and cold kitchens and in creating menus. He demonstrates excellence in the art of plated dishes and is proficient in planning and maintaining a hygienic Kitchen environment. He has trained under the expert guidance of many International Chefs and his culinary journey has shaped him into a multi- cuisine Chef, specialising in banquets, all day dining and fine dining. Through his experience, he has imbibed an adaptable and flexible approach that is essential in the hospitality industry.

Mr. V. K. Iyer has graduated in Science from the University of Kerela and has completed his Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from the premier Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai in 1980. He is one of the best hospitality, educators, having a post-graduate Diploma in Teacher’s Training, D. O. T. and D. T.S. his project on ‘Eggless Mayonnaise’, submitted as part of curriculum in teacher’s training course, won the gold medal in 1988.

Chef Iyer has worked in the industry abroad for 6 years, after which he joined IHM Mumbai in 1986 as teaching faculty in Food Production. In his vast experience of more than three decades, he has successfully designed and implemented various courses like the ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Fast Food Operations’, and ‘Niagara on the Lake (NOTL)’, to name a few.

Chef Iyer has been awarded the “Bharat Vidya Ratan Award” by International Business Council for his ‘outstanding achievements and remarkable role in the field of education’, on 22nd February 2019, at New Delhi. He is also an active member of the Western India Culinary Association (WICA)

A fantastic student mentor, he has successfully guided many students in their research projects, theme dinners, buffet assignments, chef’s competitions, etc. A hands-on professor, he has accompanied students on foreign work study- study assignments like “Travel Corporation of India- Indian Food Festival along Rhine River Cruise Lines’ and ‘The Dubai Air Show”. He has trained several of today’s illustrious chefs who have made a name for themselves in different parts of the world. He strongly believes that he is not a king but a kingmaker and his favourite quote is “Chef is always right”.

Jyotsna Bhosale, graduated in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from the premier and prestigious, I. H. M, Mumbai. She has been awarded the Best Educator of the Year Award by Western India Culinary Association in 2018. She has completed her Post Diploma in Teacher’s Training as well as the Certified Hospitality Education program – (American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institution). She also has a Degree in B.A.
She embarked upon her teaching career at her Alma Mater, I. H. M, Mumbai. In the hospitality field for the past 35 plus years, she has superannuated as Head of Food Production Department from IHM, Mumbai. She has also co-authored a book on Mahrashtrian Cuisine – published by MTDC.

Chef Rupak Mitra is a graduate in science from University of Kolkata & also a diploma holder in Hotel Management & Catering Technology from the premier Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata. He started his career with the eminent Taj group of hotels. During his long tenure at Taj, he was fortunate to have got the opportunity of managing multiple and varied responsible positions including being sponsored by Taj to travel to Trans-Siberian Express in Russia.

His passion for the food couldn’t stop him within the country only – he touched the land of different countries of the African continent (Uganda, Tanzania, and Zangiber) & Middle East (Bahrain, UAE, Oman).

His fame rose to the peak when he was awarded for ‘Business Excellence’ from India hotels company Limited for the Deccan Odyssey project, the articles of which were published in Sunday Telegraph, UK in Oct, 2005. His contribution in Trans- Siberian has been depicted in the book call ‘T-bone whacks & Caviar Snacks’ by American author Ms Sharon Hudgins. His work for ISO 9000 (Quality Control) for Intercat Trading LLC, Dubai has been published in Khaleej Times, Dubai as sponsored feature in Oct, 1999.  He was elected the Member of Hospitality (MIH) from UK in 2000. He started his career in the Food and Beverage Department at Taj President Hotel. He has 19 years’ experience in the Indian Alco Beverage Industry, having worked with brands like Sula, Grovers, Four Seasons and Corona beer.

Currently she is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Studies. She has an experience over 16 years in the hospitality industry specializing in the field of bakery and confectionary. She began her career as a Trainee Chef at The Ambassador, Churchgate. Was also a part of the pre-opening team of The Inter Continental, Marine Drive. Her career graph ascended when she joined J. W. Marriott, Juhu , where she almost served for more than 12 years of her career and has worked with many international chefs. She believes each day is a new day to learn and discover to the wonderful and imaginative world of this field. Her expertise includes counselling and coordinating with students, colleagues and administrators. She has a proven ability to aid students in overcoming academic and social challenges.

She is a meticulous individual with a profound interest in academics, scaling the graph of career growth. Prof. Jasmine Reddy has attended several workshops and seminars seasoning her knowledge along the way. During her days as a visiting faculty at leading Institutions, she has helped students from different social backgrounds through her effective and constructive teaching methodology. She also served as a senior faculty at ICE College of Hotel Management. She was also the HOD of Accommodation and Academic Manager at the ITM- Institute of Hotel Management. She has been appointed as the Chairperson for Front Office by the University of Mumbai for 3 consecutive years and was assigned the responsibility of Paper setting and Moderating. He started his teaching career at an early age of 19 with private coaching and subsequently started his own Coaching Institute at the age of 23. While being an entrepreneur and a professor, he has also been associated with other leading coaching institutes and was also a visiting faculty for 4 years with Rizvi College of Hotel Management for teaching Accountancy. During his 13 years of teaching experience, Accountancy has been his forte but in addition he has been developed the interest and expertise in more than 20 subjects including various management subjects, which makes him an expert in the ancillary subjects of Hotel Management.

He has a work experience of 21 years in Indian, East European, Pan Asian and Continental cuisines. After his internship at Lilavati Hospital where he worked under the supervision of professional dietitians, Chef started his career with ITC group of hotels. Did on job training at Welcome Marriotts (New Delhi). Was a part of the opening team at ITC Hotel Sonar Bangla in Garde Manger section. Worked in ITC Hotel Grand Maratha – Pan Asian Kitchen (Japanese section). Chef Vinayak is very passionate about food and travelling new places and hence decided to pursue a career on cruise ships. He worked as a Sous Chef at Princess Cruises lines where he was for a period of 14 years. Later came back to work in India at Meluha the Fern (Powai) as a Sous Chef. PROF. SUMITRA DESHMUKH has earned a Master’s Degree in Science and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Dietetics. Her passion for teaching brought her into the education field 16 years ago. She began her career as a faculty at SNDT, Mumbai in 1998 and since then has been a visiting faculty at various Institutes including Atharva College of Hotel Management, St. Andrews College, ITM IHM and also The Centre of Excellence.

She has authored a book titled ‘Catering Science and Food Safety’ which is an invaluable reference for the faculty and students of the Hospitality Industry.

She is an examiner and evaluator for Mumbai University, Yashwant Rao Chauhan Maharashtra Open University, MSBT and COE (upgraded centers of ITI). She holds the distinction of being a lead food auditor for ISO 22000 (food safety system) and also a food safety trainer.

PROF. C. A. JOSEPH is an engineer by qualification. However, a Diploma in Hotel Administration from the Prestigious Ecole d’hotellerie et de Tourisme – Chur, Switzerland and training at Hotel Admiral Lugano, Switzerland brought him into the field of hospitality where he discovered his linguistic talent. On completing a course in the French Language, he has been awarded the Knighthood of ‘Trou Normand’ by the Universite de Caen, France. He has taught French and German at the V.G. Vaze College in Mulund and is currently a visiting faculty at various hospitality management colleges in Mumbai.
