On 2nd December 2022, Michelin star celebrity Chef Vikas Khanna launches @vikaskhannagroup his new book
"BAREFOOT EMPRESS".
The book which is inspired by Karthyayani Amma, who first went to school in her 90s, Chef Vikas Khanna created a documentary and then wrote Barefoot Empress, to demonstrate the power of gratitude.
The chef, who was inspired to cook by his grandmother, was struck by how familiar Karthyayani Amma appeared to him. "She reminds me of my grandmother. Of all our grandmothers." They were the most intelligent even if they were illiterate. They were skilled at keeping their families together."
