The Nestle Young Star Chef Challenge was organised by WICA (Western India Culinary Association) and co-hosted by the Sheila Raheja Institute of Hotel Management (SRIHM) on 27th September 2023. The culinary challenge gave the students a chance to present their dishes to a panel of eminent judges which included stalwarts from the hotel industry like Chef Abdul Qader, Chef Sydney D’Cunha, Chef Altamsh Patel and Chef Vivek Kadam. For the competition, the students were asked to prepare De-constructed Hyderabadi biryani (served in a plate) accompanied by a dessert of their choice. Mr. Yash Unhavne from IHM Mumbai won the Super Gold medal while SRIHM’s Ms. Ahana Bagga secured the Bronze medal.
