VEGAN SUPER CHEF COMPETITION ORIENTATION SESSION BY Y.V. CARE
On 12th of August, 2024 Sheila Raheja Institute of Hotel Management hosted an insightful seminar on veganism aimed at promoting a plant-based lifestyle among students and faculty. The seminar took place at the seminar hall and was organized by YVCare Foundation, drawing attention to the veganism and vegan food, health, environmental, and ethical benefits of adopting a vegan diet. An engaging seminar on veganism, which also served as an introduction and interaction session for the upcoming Vegan Super Chef competition.
The seminar featured a lineup of esteemed speaker, Mr. Vignesh Manjeshwar, founder of YVCare with extensive knowledge about vegan food and nutrition. His presentation provided a comprehensive overview of veganism, touching on topics such as veganism, whole food plant based diet and benefits of it, multiple celebs / Athletes who have gone vegan, the fastest growing trend, and future of vegan diet, the health advantages of a plant-based diet, the environmental impact of animal agriculture, and the ethical considerations surrounding animal rights. However, the seminar also took a sobering turn as speaker revealed a series of indigestible facts about animal abuse and food adulteration in the industry. These revelations were backed by disturbing statistics and real-life examples, leaving the audience shocked and deeply moved. The presentation highlighted the unethical practices involved in animal farming, as well as the widespread issue of adulteration in food products, which often goes unnoticed by consumers.
