Chef Ashish is a key member of the kitchen brigade of the Sheila Raheja Institute of Hotel Management, Chef possesses overall experience of 24 years in the field of Hospitality.

He displays exceptional dedication and commitment and his work culture has nurtured many young professionals to take up a career in Food Production department of the hotel industry. He holds additional charge as Head of the Department Rooms Division Management, Management Studies & MIS.

Chef Ashish believes very strongly in the phrase that “Learning Is a Continuous Process” The phrase helps him to inculcate interest amongst the budding Hospitality professionals to be creative and innovative always.

He is a Hospitality Educator who has completed his Master’s Degree in Tourism Management and a Graduate in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from the prestigious Institute of Hotel Management – Mumbai.

He has cleared the UGC-NET (National Eligibility Test is conducted on behalf of University Grants Commission) in Tourism Administration & Management Subject.

He is a Member of the Ad-hoc Board of Studies – Hospitality Studies and an approved Faculty of the University of Mumbai. He has been the Chairperson, Moderator and Paper setter for Food and Beverage Management and Front Office Management at the University of Mumbai. He has been the Academic Co-ordinator for the Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management in association with the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality United Kingdom and the Advanced Diploma in Culinary Arts in association with City & Guilds United Kingdom.

He joined the Hotel Corporation of India as a Management Trainee and has worked for eighteen long and fruitful years in the Hospitality Industry. He was working as a Human Resource Manager with Hotel Sahara Star prior to joining the field of Academics as Head of Department at Anjuman- I- Islam’s Institute of Hotel Management. He is an accomplished lecturer with fourteen years of experience in the field of Academics. His area of expertise is Food and Beverage Service and Front Office Management.
