India in Fashion exhibition was attended by 115 students and faculty members of Sheila Raheja Institute of Hotel Management on Thursday, 6th April 2023. The students were amazed and thrilled by the fabulous opulence of the costume art exhibition which is a statement of Indian influence on the global fashion scene spanning the last 3 centuries.
Curated by author and costume expert Hamish Bowles, this first of its kind show in India features iconic international fashion designers viz. Jean-Phillipe Worth, Cristobel Balenciaga, Gabrielle Coco Chanel, Christian Dior and Indian designers including Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani and Manish Malhotra to name a few.
The exhibition was accompanied by an insightful and truly immersive audio guide experience which was enjoyed by the students using their headphones and smart phones. All in all it was a real ‘WOW’ experience that left the students and faculty members absolutely spellbound.
