With an aim to protect the environment and marine life, SRIHM’s Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE), along with Vanashakti NGO and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, came together on 13th January, for a beach cleanup drive at Dadar Chowpatty. Members of the local authorities also provided students with insights on the dangers of non-biodegradable waste that is endangering marine life. Overall, nearly 700–800 kg of non-biodegradable waste was collected, creating a much-needed impact on safeguarding the beauty of the natural world for future generations.
