TYBSc (HS) student of the Sheila Raheja Institute of Hotel Management (SRIHM), Mr. Vidhur Gaikwad participated enthusiastically in Bar Tales this year, an inter-collegiate Mixology competition on 31st October 2023, held by IHM Mumbai.
The theme of the cocktail competition was Gin & Spice where students had to make a cocktail from Stranger & Sons Gin only, and they were allowed to infuse gin by using spices.
Vidhur had prepared a cocktail called Pistachio Sour, he also called it ‘Zafron’ because of the use of saffron bitters in his drink.
The judges were very impressed with the all-homemade ingredients and they appreciated the efforts put into the cocktail. They also liked and enjoyed the taste of the cocktail.
The winners of the Bar Tales Competition were:
1st prize - Leo Daniel Antonio Velho (IHM)
2nd prize - Ashan Ahmed (IHM)
3rd prize - Janhavi Pardeshi (IHM)
Overall, it was a great learning experience for the participants. Vidhur was awarded with a participating certificate for enthusiastically participating in the competition.
